FINGERS JEWELLERY AUCKLAND |
I started making jewellery in Auckland in 1976
with American sculptor and metalsmith Daniel Clasby, and joined Fingers, a group of young jewellers who had opened a gallery to sell Contemporary New Zealand Jewellery, a year later.
Examples of earlier work in New Zealand jade, paua shell and metal
have been exhibited in New Zealand, Australia and Japan, and are
held in the Museum of New Zealand, the Dowse Museum, and the
Auckland Museum.
All the rings shown on this website are hand-made and can be ordered to size, width and thickness, and can be set with your choice of stone size and quality. All gold used is refined alluvial gold from New Zealand's South Island West Coast, the 22ct gold is alloyed by me and available in a range of colours from red to yellow. Diamonds used are cut in Antwerp and come with a certificate of weight, colour and clarity and a laser analysis of cut. The price of rings is dependent on the cost of the materials used, and a quote can be given when I have the information I need. Fingers Contemporary Jewellery Gallery, located opposite the Auckland Art Gallery at 2 Kitchener St, is still my only retail outlet, and I'm available there most Saturdays between 11am and 3pm. Enquiries and orders can also be made by e mail from this web-site, payment can be made by credit card, and all work is sent with a money-back guarantee.
